c.1940s- Divided Plate - Grimwades - "Ye Olde Willow" - Blue & White - Staffordshire - England

£12.95

This handsome 1940s blue and white divided plate is marked "Ye Olde Willow" and was made by Grimwades in Staffordshire, England. The traditional Blue Willow pattern is nicely set off by the elaborate patterned borders, typical of this type of transferware. The plate is 10" across and almost an inch thick. There are no chips or cracks, but there are some utensil marks. There also is some rubbing and colour loss to the very tops of some of the dividers, probably from not being stored correctly. Please see the photos for details.
